On May 4th, 2024, peacefully in her 103rd year, surrounded by her family in the loving care of staff at St Joseph’s Unit, Bantry General Hospital. EILEEN, beloved wife of the late James, loving mother of Margaret (Cotter), Jim, John, Eileen (Barry) and the late Mary (McGarrell), dear sister of Babs and the late Mary, John, Etta and baby Denis, cherished grandmother of Éoin, Caitríona, Séamus and Micheál, Eleanor, Barry and James, Deirdre, Kate, Sarah, Jamie and Michael, Méabh, Jack, Andrew and Fergal. Sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel St, Bantry on Sunday May 5th from 5pm to 7pm with vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Monday May 6th at 2pm at Sacred Heart Church, Durrus followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if desired to St Joseph’s Unit, Bantry General Hospital.
