May Betty rest in peace in her heavenly home ......she was a noble lady and great to work with her in Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital.

Our sincere condolences to Betty’s great friends Úna and Mary and also to the O’Kane family on Betty’s recent passing - a woman of compassion, with a deep commitment to care for all whom she encountered – patients, their families, hospital staff and all at the Bons. Her generosity, humour, professionalism and gentleness brought comfort to many, companionship to all and to us as Bon Secours Sisters, a great witness to compassionate, holistic care. May she now rest in the Eternal Peace of Christ.

My deepest sympathy to Betty’s family and friends. I worked for many years with Betty on the Sacred Heart Ward as a physio. She was an exceptional Ward Manager and nurse. Always so kind patient and supportive to patients and staff.
I was honored to be part of the Betty led ward nights out which were so enjoyable and fun filled.

Amazing memories of Betty Tobin as a staff nurse in charge of children's ward in the 70s when I was school principal in Cappagh Hospital. So efficient and caring for all.

You were a fabulous nurse,who thought so many young nurses amazing skills,that have made them great nurses because of your teaching skills . We had such good times ,back to your house for a night cap and a sing song. Now you're back in Danny's arms again. RIP Beth

Condolences and sincere sympathy to Betty's family and especially her friend and Anam Cara Una.It was a great shock to learn of her sudden death last week.Betty was one of the stallworths of our parish and Our Lady of Dolours church Glasnevin. Betty will be sorley missed by all who frequent our church and all who were lucky to know her as friend and nurse colleague.Wherever you met Betty you met her amazing friend Una to whom her sudden death must be heart breaking. Una you are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad and lonely time.May your memories of shared times bring you peace and joy as time passes.Rest in peace Betty in your heavenly home.

Deepest sympathies to all Betty’s family and her fabulous friend Una. I worked with Betty on the orthopaedic Sacred Heart Corridor in the Bon Secours hospital, Glasnevin. Patient care was her priority, she spoke to every patient every morning, worked on the floor with the nursing staff, dare anyone ‘borrow’ or remove a piece of orthopaedic equipment off the ward! She even donned the ‘white shower wellies’ on occasion! She was hugely sociable, we had some amazing ward and hospital nights out with fun, dancing and sometimes she’d sing a tune! So lovely to think you’re back with your beloved Danny now. It was a joy to know you Betty Boo and have you as a friend. Much love. Rest in peace xx

We were very saddened to hear the news that Betty had passed away so unexpectedly.

Betty gave so freely and generously of her time and endeared herself to many - particularly to us ' Little Sisters of the Assumption'.

My sincere condolences on the death of Betty to her family and her friend Una. I knew Betty through the Catholic Nurses Guild of Ireland of which she was a long standing and loyal member. She had a beautiful singing voice and often sang solo at Knock during our annual pilgrimages as well as on other Guild occasions. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
