I was fortunate to have known Eithne as a friend and colleague when we worked together in Irish Life, particularly when she was a Tustee of the Irish Life Staff Benefits Scheme.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Eithne. I worked with Eithne in Irish Life for many years. She was a consumate professional but always had time for people. My condolences to her family on her sad passing.

My thoughts are especially with Mairead, Tom and all the Weymes family, and Eithne's close friends at this very sad time. We went to school together at Loreto College, Crumlin Road, where Eithne rose to be the Head Prefect in our final year. Our friendship continued throughout our long lives, despite the tyranny of distance! Eithne visited us twice in Australia, and we also had good times when we visited Ireland. Eithne filled many important roles during her life, but the roles of true friend and sister must rank very highly. You will be missed, Eithne, but never forgotten.

My condolences to all relatives of Eithne. I was so saddened to hear of her passing, having met her as recently as St. Patrick's day. That heavenly choir will be bigger and better for Eithne joining. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend her funeral Mass but I will be thinking of her.

We have very happy memories of Eithne, not least her kindness to my brother John and my late sister in law Joan Allen. Eithne was especially kind to John after Joan's death. I have known Eithne from our days in Loreto Crumlin both in the junior and senior schools . May you all receive comfort in knowing that Eithne's friends cherished her friendship.

Eithne was a great chairman and a longtime active member of Tallaght Choral Society. She loved her singing and her sense of humour was infectious. She was a bright and intelligent singing companion, and will be fondly remembered by all who came to know her in TCS. Rest in peace Eithne.

Sincere condolences to the Weymes family. Eithne was such a character with a smile that would light up a room. She loved her choral music and was a regular listener to Saturday night broadcasts from the Met particularly if it was something by Wagner. May she rest in peace.
