Colette and all your family. All of the love for your mother came shining through yesterday in the tributes to her from all generations. She was a little lady, who through so much of her own sorrow, had the rare quality of acceptance of what befell her, which would be unthinkable for most of us. She was always grateful for what she had. Her saying was always "God is good". To have the ability and courage to say that was just inspirational.

Betty, I hope they have a good supply of your favourite lipstick up above. Rest in peace lovely lady.

I was very saddened to hear the news on Friday of Mrs Cunningham's passing. Fiona would regularly speak to me about her Mam in such glowing terms. I’ve known Betty for as long as I’ve known Collette and she, like Charlie and all her family shared hospitality, warmth and friendship over the years. I am blessed to know them. Betty and Collette are two of the “good” people who have been in my life for almost 50 years. Betty was minded and cared for by all of her children who kept their promise to Charlie that they would look after Mam. Together with her grandchildren, friends and carers, she stayed in her final years, in her own home. Many people were touched by this gracious lady. May she rest in peace. I cannot imagine the smiles and love that met her when she got to Heaven. I’m sure Charlie and Marie are hearing about all the love that was showered on her by family and friends.
