Sincere condolences to the Hughes family young and not so young on the death of Fr. Richie. Sorry I was unable to join you in person this morning,but I did join on the celebration of his life and work online. Richie was obviously loved and admired by his family and community. He was a hard worker like his parents and brothers Pat and Nick. They and Margaret along with Ailish would be very proud of the participation of their children and grandchildren in the ceremony this morning , a fitting tribute to Richie.May Fr. Richie rest in peace.

He designed and built many churches, schools and health facilities in Nigeria - now stand as a great tribute to his dedication and hard work. 'Blessed are those who die in the Lord. Richard has served his God in a very generous way over the past years on mission. Nigeria was his home, sadly he will be missed most there.
