During your journey on your final flight home.
White wings will carry you and you will be flown.
To the pearly gates of Heaven, where they will usher you in.
To the feet of your Lord, your Saviour, and your friend.
He will hold you in his arms and the angels will sing.
As another one of his children is delivered by white wings.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. We had the pleasure of meeting with Jim in Limerick many years ago. Such a nice person. Spent time to chat with us before and after the show. Mam had told us he was a second/third cousin to us. They had a great chat talking about all the family and who was who. His music will always be remembered.

Speak their Name

some one I love has gone away
And life is not the same
The greatest gift that you can give
Is just to speek their name
I need to hear the stories
And the tales of days gone by
I need for you to understand
These memories must last
We cannot make memories
Since they are no longer here
So when you speek of them to me
Its Music to my ear

Rest in peace Jim there will be some great sessions in the sky with the rest of the music legends that have passed away Think of all the McCann family at this sad time :(

What sad news to hear about my old friend's passing. Although I knew Jim well throughout the years, having shared the same management stable with my band The Cotton Mill Boys, I had the distinct pleasure of working closely with Jim in the eighties. He asked me to perform with him during his solo career when he was searching for a replacement musician - this turned into an eight-month gig. Not only was a he a gifted singer and musician, but he was one of the nicest and finest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in the music industry. A multi-talented and lovable guy - my deepest condolences go to his wife, Phyl, and his family. We have a lost a true gem from Irish society - we will miss him greatly.
