Very sorry to hear of the sad loss of Kevin. We worked with Kevin in the EPA in Pottery Road and he was a real character, full of fun and wit. A great colleague to have. Many the good evening was had back then in Bakers Corner!

My sincerest condolences to the Clabby family. Kevin was a valued colleague and friend for many years in AFF, ERU, and finally the EPA in the laboratories in Pottery Road, Dun Laoghaire. At that time the Water scientists and the Roads engineers and technical staff shared the same premises as well as the ups and downs of life while working for a government who often gave at best half-hearted support for the important work that was being carried out in the laboratories.

Sincere condolences to Kevin's wife and family at this difficult time. After joining the inland fisheries service in 1977, I was sent to the then AFF laboratory at Pottery Road where Kevin and his colleagues gave me an introduction to the basics of biological monitoring. Kevin could not have been more open and helpful. At a time when the country had many seriously polluted river locations, he stressed the importance of reporting the facts when in many instances such openness and integrity was not always welcome. A true expert and committed public servant who with his colleagues set the standard how water quality was monitored and reported on, I was privileged to have met and been influenced by him.

May Kevin Rest in Eternal Peace and May His Memory Be a Blessing.
