Dear Adrian and Annette I am so sorry that I am away and unable to be with the choir to sing at Mervyn's funeral in St Paul's tomorrow. As you know, he was a much loved member of our choir and a valued deputy organist. His enthusiasm, kindness and wit will never be forgotten. Mervyn was extremely generous to me personally in sharing organ music and always offering encouragement. Sincere condolences to you and your families. And thank you Adrian in supporting Mervyn's continued attendance at St Paul's for as long as he could manage. May he rest in peace.
— Sheila Wayman
