Sincere sympathy to all the Brennan family. Mick was a true gentleman with a deep-seated commitment to the welfare of all, both local and national. It was always a great pleasure to meet him for a chat, a debate and a laugh.

My sincere condolences to Michael’s family and friends on his sad passing. He had a lifelong commitment to the trade union movement and represented his members with great zeal. Even in his retirement he continued to look after the welfare of his retired members. I remember his passionate and very witty contributions at Labour party conferences during the 1980s and 1980s. He will be remembered especially for his humour. He was a proud Tuam and Galway man. May he rest in peace.

Sad to hear that Mick has died, May he Rest in Peace. A friend and Labour comrade for decades, Mick was an outstanding Trade Unionist and Labour Party activist. He gave a lifetime, long past retirement, supporting workers and disadvantaged people. A brilliant orator, I have great memories of Mick livening up Labour Conferences with impassioned speeches. I am very saddened to learn of Michael’s passing. I always enjoyed meeting him and discussing politics, industrial relations or anything else. He was never without an opinion on anything. The world will not be the same without him.

Sincere condolences to Ann and Mick's family on this sad occasion. I was a friend and comrade of Mick, serving a long time ago with him on the committee of the Plumbing Trades Union. He brought a good humoured change to the meetings of the plumbers of the day, combining his wit with strong support for ordinary working people.

My deep condolences to all the Brennan family. As a colleague and friend of Mick for many years in the Trade Union movement I know how much of himself he gave in supporting the members of his union. He was a colourful, generous and inspiring character who will be sorely missed.
