I grew up on Conleths Rd and have great memories of Monica. Paddy and Monica were friends of my parents. My father was a great friend of Monica's brother and my father always referred to Monica as a Liberties girl. A strong woman who would always stand her ground but very kind and soft natured. Growing up she would always stop and talk to you always encouraged young people in relation to their education or careers.
She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed. Sincerest condolences to Jacintha, Francis, Edmund and Nicholas.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Monica and I wanted to convey my sincere sympathies to you all. I will always remember Monica’s embrace of, and enthusiasm for fashion, even in her later years. Our mutual love of shoes and her excitement to see a new pair is a fond memory I will always have of her. May she rest in peace now, with your Dad, who I know she adored as much as he adored her.
