Beloved family,
I hold you in mind and in heart as you are mourning the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. I have gotten to know the most wonderful man through your stories of him, and I’m left feeling sadness I didn’t get to have some stories of my own. I do believe he lives in all of you, and I’m very grateful that his kindness, his tolerance, his love and his welcoming nature has been passed to all of you, to share with all of us.
I don’t believe that the void that is created by his death will be filled, but maybe the way to live with it is by honouring him. Living by his legacy. Continuing to love each other, in the way that he had loved you all.
I’m here for you.

Pat was such a kind & gentle soul, and I will always cherish the moments we shared at the reception. Whenever I hear “Come Back Paddy Reilly” I will think of him fondly, and remember the times he taught me how to play it on piano. Fondest memories of a gentle soul and thorough gentleman. Never heard to make a negative comment about anyone. I was honoured to be in his company on the golf course in the latter part of his life. A very humble and decent man.
