A priest for the people .fr Gerry was an affable and kindly man and portrayed throughout his priestly life the gentleness of his master. He was happy as a priest and none more so among the people.he had a particular understanding of suffering in relation to the cross and this helped him to remain close to the sick and elderly.he was a pastor in the best sense of the word enjoying a fruitful and fulfilled apostolate to the end.of his earthly days.he carried old age with grace and simplicity.I remember him with fondness.May he rest in peace as the good and faithful servant to the Church he was.
