Eithne McCluskey
(née Fitzgerald)

Raheny, Dublin / Myshall, Carlow

McCluskey (Marie) Eithne, (née Fitzgerald), of The Meadows, Myshall, Co. Carlow, and formerly of Howth Road, Raheny, Dublin, passed away peacefully on March 12th, 2024. She was born on August 15th, 1945, and was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. Eithne received excellent care from the staff of Beaumont Hospital Richmond ICU, for which we are profoundly grateful. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Eileen and Donal Fitzgerald. Eithne was an amazing sister to Paul, Nuala, Alva, Gar, Ciaran, and Rona Fitzgerald. Eithne was the loving wife of Tony McCluskey. A loving mother to her children, Mark, Eugene, Sheila, Des, Helen, and Heather, and adoringly referred to as "The Nanny" by her grandchildren, Jodie, Isabella, Finn, Lily, Amber, and her great-grandson, Riain. Eithne will forever be loved and dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives,and numerous friends across the world. She was a gift to us all.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Eithne's life will take place on Monday, April 15th, at 10am at St. Brigid's Church, Killester. The Mass will be available for viewing on the live webcam via the following link https://www.churchservices.tv/killester In honour of Eithne's vibrant spirit, the family kindly requests attendees to wear a splash of colour, especially yellow, pink, and purple. Following the Mass, cremation will be held at Dardistown Crematorium, Dublin. A Memorial Mass will also take place on Wednesday, April 17 th , at 11am at the Church of the Holy Cross, Myshall, Co. Carlow.
