Jonathan James Dickson (April 14, 1949 - May 6, 2024).

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jonathan James Dickson, who left us peacefully at 11:30 am on Monday, May 6th.

Born on April 14th, 1949, Jonathan was a cherished father to Josh, Jessie, and Nancy, and a doting grandfather to Iben and Daisy, a dear brother to Deborah, and a cherished uncle to Barnaby.

Jonathan’s journey was marked by many passions such as his love for music, the skies and carpentry. His professional life soared as a hang gliding instructor and later flourished through his successful business in the film and tv industry, as Jonathan Dickson Construction. Seskin House stands as a testament to his dedication — a project he poured his heart into and considered his greatest achievement.

A man of many layers, Jonathan was also deeply committed to the path of personal recovery. His involvement in the twelve-step fellowships was a source of inspiration and hope to many, reflecting his dedication to growth and healing.

We invite friends and family to join us in celebrating Jonathan’s life at his cremation service, which will be held on Friday, May 10th, at 2:30 pm in The Victorian Chapel at Mount Jerome Cemetery & Crematorium, 158 Harold’s Cross Road, Harold’s Cross, Dublin D6W HY98.

In lieu of flowers, we request that charitable donations be made to the Carlow Hospice, in acknowledgement of their wonderful care. Donations can be made through their website at Carlow Hospice Donation - Online Donations Link
