Peacefully, at home, in the tender loving care of his family. Beloved husband of Anne, dear father of Gerard, Melina and Joanne and son of the late May and Tommy. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife, son, daughters, grandchildren Charley, Jordan, Jessica, Robbie, Dylan, Blake and Victoria, daughter-in-law Louise, Melina’s partner Julian, brother Tom, sister Olive, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Due to current restrictions on numbers at funeral ceremonies, Gerry’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family only.

There will be an opportunity for the community to support the family and to remember Gerry by being present on the route, socially distanced, on Friday, April 30th as the funeral cortege leaves his home at 10.30am, proceeding via Hill Street Bridge, Stapleton Place, McEntee Avenue and Pearse Park to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, arriving for Mass at 11am and afterwards, continuing via St. Nicholas’ Avenue for burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
To keep everyone safe, please adhere to social distancing, wear a face covering and refrain from handshaking and hugging.
