The death has occurred of
Eugene SMYTH
Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Gray), son of the late James and Teresa, dad of Joanne and Stephen, grandad to Allana and Evan and brother of Mary (McCarthy) and the late Jim (Smyth). He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife, daughter, son, grandchildren, sister, nieces Lesley, Ciara and Ann, nephew David, relatives and friends.

Due to limited numbers permitted at funeral ceremonies under current restrictions, Eugene's Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family and close friends only.

There will be an opportunity for the community to support the family and to remember Eugene by being present on the route, socially distanced, on Thursday, May 27th as the funeral leaves from his home at 10.30am, proceeding via Dublin Street, Park Street and Town Centre to St. Nicholas' Church, arriving for Mass at 11am and afterwards for burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
To keep everyone safe, please adhere to social distancing, wear a face covering and refrain from handshaking and hugging.
