Peacefully, in the tender and dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Beloved husband of Marie, son of the late Peter and Josephine and dear father of Peter, Michelle, Wendy and Gerard. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughters, sons-in-law Seán and Nigel, daughters-in-law Donna and Ciara, grandchildren, sisters Mary (Savage), Frances (Malone), Cecilia (Murphy), Martina (Thornton), Margaret (Cumiskey) and Liz (O’Reilly), brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Due to current restrictions on numbers at funeral ceremonies, Gerard’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family and close friends only on Tuesday, July 13th, in St. Mary's Church, Lordship, at 11am.

There will be an opportunity for the community to support the family and to remember Gerard by being present on the route, socially distanced, on Tuesday, as the funeral cortege leaves his home, proceeding via Newtown Cemetery, continuing through Mountbagnal and on the R173 to St. Mary’s Church, Lordship, for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Lordship Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Louth Branch of the MS Society.
