Alphonsus (Fonsie) Mitchell

Alphonsus (Fonsie) Mitchell, Lowville, Ahascragh, Ballinasloe, County Galway, passed away peacefully on the 10th February 2025 surrounded by members of his family and in the excellent care of the Staff in the Oncology Ward UCHG.

Predeceased by his parents John and Matilda Mitchell, his brother Dermot and his sister Dorothy.

Alphonsus (Fonsie) will be sadly missed by his loving Wife Immaculate, his Son Karl and Daughters Grace, Stacey, Tanya, Rosaleen and Sandra, Sons-in-law Michael, Philip, Declan and Niall, Daughter-in-law Sarah, grandchildren Luke, Fionn, Naoise, Jack, Ronan, Eliza, Ethan and Cillian, Brother Alfie, Sisters Eileen, Phyllis, Vera, Rosaleen and Madeline, Nieces, Nephews, Brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

House Private Tuesday 11th February.

Reposing at Saint Patrick's Funeral Home adjoining Saint Patrick's Church, Fohenagh H53HP26 on Wednesday 12th February from 6.00pm to 8.30pm.

Requiem Mass on Thursday 13th February at Saint Patrick's Church, Fohenagh at 12.00 with burial afterwards to Ahascragh New Cemetery.

House private on Wednesday morning.
