Candelas O'Callaghan

On August 28th, 2024, CANDELAS passed away peacefully in the presence of her family, in the tender loving care of staff at St Joseph’s Unit, Bantry General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Peter, son Francisco and son in law Michael. Loving mother to Donal, Maria-Teresa, Peter and Amadita. Much loved grandmother to Sineád, Oisín, Deirbhile, Mark, Sally, Aoife, Kate, Peadar, Eoin and Lisa and great grandmother to Luke, Liam, Sam, Holly, Fionn and Oisín. Deeply regretted by her son in law Liam and daughters in law Caitriona and Caroline, nephews, nieces, her extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home Chapel Street, Bantry on Friday Aug. 30th from 6pm to 7.30pm with vigil prayers at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday Aug. 31st at 11am at Sacred Heart Church Glengarriff (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the local cemetery.
