Deepest condolences to the O’Meara family on the loss of an amazing man. He was so welcoming to me in the early 80s, when I was a student in UCC. The memories of visits to your home in Halldene remain with me still. On one such visit, I was met with Aedan running under-floor cables across the hall into the TV room. A concrete floor as I recall. Also the TV had a fault where it used to lose colour, and go Black & white - of course, Aedan knew by a slight change of sound in the TV, and knew where to smack the cabinet to bring the colour back !
Another evening he was repairing the alternator on your Cortina estate!
Truly an inspiring man to have known.
Lovely to see others from the Cork Radio Club offering their condolences.
You have all lost such a great friend, husband and dad.
