Deepest condolences to you all, Brian, Phil,Com, Kevin and Aideen, as well as your families. Aideen was a force of nature, warm and loving, with a great sense of humour. Seeing her, (and having an evening sing-song) was always a highlight of my visits home. So sorry for your loss.

Despite the shock of Mrs. Rochford’s sudden passing,—she will always be ‘Mrs. Rochford’ to me—I want to say how the whole family did her so proud during her mass. The energy of her loving laughter, which you all expressed so beautifully, was a testament to the joy she brought to everyone lucky enough to be in her presence.
I was fortunate to feel that laughter often—whether over a cup of tea in the kitchen as I tried to recruit Aideen into some Marti Pellow stalking mission (Mrs Rochford would smile with kind acceptance of our ridiculousness), or later, when her lovely smile and laugh greeted me as we walked parallel paths up our driveways. There was always a warm, ‘Hello Jean, how are you?’
The most fitting quote I can leave is this: ‘People will forget what you said, forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.’ From the time I was a baby to now, Mrs. Rochford always made me feel loved.
I cannot imagine the depth of your loss, but I am certain that your mum and dad are guardians of your hearts. Jean, Hannah, and family, you are in my thoughts during this difficult time

I have lovely memories of Aideen and Liam when our paths crossed many Summers on their visits to my Aunty Kathleen and Uncle Donagh’s house in Cork. She would speak so fondly of all her children and grandchildren and she was great fun to be around. I especially remember the “funny” birthday cards she would give to Kathleen that would take pride of place on the fire mantle each and every year and I remember her re-applying her vibrant lipstick before leaving the house.
May she be happily reunited with her beloved Liam and her loved ones in heaven.

Herself and your Dad Liam RIP were always so welcoming to us when we would call to them on our visits to Beaumount Hospital with our children. They loved the chats with a cup of tea and the news from Cork where they used visit my late Mom and Dad. Aideen always spoke so highly of you all and was so proud of her grandchildren.
