So sorry to hear of the passing of Alan. I only met him once through the Midget car club but that was enough to know he was a gentleman. My sympathy to his wife and family.

Alan was a wonderful colleague who would help anyone, always with a smile and a story. He had a talent for tiptoeing on that 'suitable for work' humour, and always had people laughing.

He idolised Michelle and always spoke about her with so much love and admiration especially after Lucas was born.

I have known Alan for years from the Classic car scene. He always made us laugh. Always had his tool box in his Capri incase anybody broke down on our classic car runs. He will be sadly missed at car shows and runs. Rest in Peace Alan, and sincere condolences to all the White family.

We are so very sad to hear of the passing of Alan. Every Sat morning he would bring Lucas in and would always make it his business to chat to us and ask if we needed anything in the shops. Such a friendly, kind man, he will be missed.

I was so shocked to hear of Alan's passing. I first met Alan in Department of Transport and subsequently through our interest in classic cars. Alan was always a breath of fresh air, always smiling, a light in the darkest of rooms. My wife Linda met Alan at a couple of car shows and our own meetings in Clane, and was equally impressed by his good humour. Our condolences to Michelle, Lucas and Liam and Alan's parents.
