Our heartfelt condolences to Aminul and daughters, and to the McConnon family on the tragic death of Anne-Marie. We met only recently, and briefly but we were overjoyed to find that we were both Monaghan people living just a few doors apart in London. Now we will never have the chat we promised ourselves about home and being away from home. It says a lot about Anne-Marie’s character rhat she so quickly established herself as a warm and engaging member of our local community, and the shock of her passing is sorely felt by her neighbours on the street. In her career, she had reached the top in the demanding world of London’s financial services and had won a remarkable reputation; the many tributes to her from all across the business world show the deep respect and affection she earned, and testify to the support and inspiration she gave to many, not to mention the great charitable fund-raising she initiated. And despite her success, she never forgot her roots; she was a proud Monaghan woman, and a woman Monaghan can be proud of. May she rest in peace.
