Anthony along with his mother and aunt were very loyal and longstanding customers of my uncles grocery shop opposite the barracks in lower Main Street many decades ago. They represented everything that’s good about Letterkenny people in their decency ,kindness and respect of others .I was very saddened to hear of Anthony’s passing and I will light a candle here in Clarendon st church in his memory and towards the recovery of his beloved brother

We were pals as wanes and we mucked about (literally) together as Dam Builders, Cowboys, Indians, and various other characters. In recent years we occasionally met on the street. Reading the reports about Anthony, the many tributes are well deserved. My sisters Pat and Margaret remember him fondly too. Take care of yourselves during this very difficult time. Had a chat of an evening only to discover they were mourning maybe the anniversary of their mothers passing.

Is ait an mac an saol - all boils down to same thing be it in Kerry or Donegal; where he protected he fell .. life is strange!

Many’s a morning I drove past him on my way to work. I remember him as the lollipop crossing man when I was at school, and no doubt, so do countless other kids from the Oldtown side of town.
