Heartfelt condolences to Tony's partner Becky and his children Gemma, Dean, Faye and Alyssa. May God give you strength in these very hard days.

I was lucky enough to meet Tony in the last few days of his life in SuperValu in walkinstown It was late in the evening and he was in the carpark It was freezing I said how are you Tony, ah grand love no problems, I was packing away the shopping and over he comes with a tin of Hero's give them to the kids, he said I got loads of these, I was delighted. So kind and thoughtful, I drove away feeling very lucky to have that family in my life.

I moved over to Kingswood Catherine and Dessie moved in beside me on the same week. When I look back on life I was blessed because God gave me the best neighbours, I was so Lucky. Tony would arrive up every evening in his green car to Catherine with Alyssa. Great memories of the sunshine and Catherine with the spotless show house. And lovely tanned skin. I never met such a kinder Family.

All the memories, heartfelt condolences to Catherine, Dessie, The Beautiful Children Charlene, Shauna, DJ, Megan and Partners on the passing of your lovey Uncle Tony, Rest in Peace.

Ballymount won't be the same, we always saw him out with the dogs.

Catherine you were the best sister ever, always there for your family. Thank you for everything, the best neighbour or friend anyone could have, stay strong.

Rest In Peace Tony

Love,

Joan, Paul, Christopher, Daniel J, Charlene & Stella X
— Joan & Paul Thomas Kingswood
Deepest sympathy to Tony's family & friends, you are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. I was so saddened and shocked to hear of Tony's sudden passing. I would meet Tony regularly when out walking at lunchtime around Ballymount and we'd have a chat, he was always in great spirits, a true gentleman. Our last chat was just before Christmas he gave me a hug and wished me a Happy Christmas, his plans were to take a few days off from walking spend time with his wonderful family and watch movies, little did i know that would be the last time I would see him. Tony will always be in my thoughts when out walking, he was loved by so many and will sorely missed around Dublin 12. R.I.P Tony gone but you will never be forgotten 🙏🕯
— Rose

— Brendan & Adrienne Crowley, and family
I didn’t know Tony personally but felt i knew him because i always saw him out walking with the dog. I used to say to myself that guy is so fit and loves the dogs so much because he’s always out with them. He must have clocked up so many steps every day. I’d recognize his walk even in the pitch dark up around ballymount if i was out driving - i’d know it was him before i’d even see his face. I was very sad to hear the news, can’t quite believe it really. Thinking of his family and his four legged friends who will miss him terribly. Rest in peace Tony.

Heartfelt Condolences to all of Appler’s family. I knew you well enough through a mutual friend I Support. You yourself always helped in looking out for this friend the best you could. Over the years we’d many a conversation, the only time you were annoyed or upset was the day I stopped you on ballymount rd & asked about the jack Russell only to learn he had gained his feathered wings as a result of hit & run. Heading home I’d drive up the ballymount road knowing 90% of the time I’d bump into you. we’d laugh as I’d slowdown holding up traffic chatting to you while you walked you’re remaining Dog.you’d always ask after our mutual friend. beep of the car horn and your arm would shoot straight up into the air while you tried identifying the car. One of life’s easiest going person always helping others. Rest easy Appler, I may choose a new route Home now.
