I worked with Bernard for almost 40; years in EDCO, you could say we grew up together, he was 14 and I was 16 when we met, we shared a love of motor bike and remember ending up in Baggot St Hospital one night after he parted company with the bike in Dawson St.. After he went in Australia over 20 years ago, we kept in contact and met up on his visits home. In recent years WhatsApp and Mobile Phones made it easier to keep in contact. I have to admire the way he accepted his recent illness, he was very brave and didn’t lose his sense of humour. I consider myself honoured to make known him for 60 years and to be one of his friends.
May he Rest in Peace.
