Dear Leonie and family. We were so saddened to hear that your dearest Mother Bernie had died, while we,were away..RIP.
We were so sorry not to have been in the Country when she died.
I will remember Bernie as the most gracious, kind, and happy woman, who spread her smile and good cheer wherever she went..
Lucky were those, who were Bernie's family and close friends.. Her bravery, concern, and love for you all, was a contant throughout her life.
Having borne the loss of her beloved Joe, so early on in her married life, Bernie bravely made life so good for you all.
I have witnessed her deep love and concern for her privileged friends.
Bernie was a good, and very special Mother, Friend, Neighbour, and Business woman.

Bernie was such a fun loving person and a wonderful Soroptimist. I remember many great nights out organised by Bernie and we were all delighted to go along knowing Bernie had everything in hand. She will be missed.
I’m sorry I couldn’t go to the funeral but my dad’s funeral was the same day. Deepest condolences to Leonie and all Bernie’s family, may she rest in peace.

Devastating news..A dedicated and much loved member of the Forever Fit Wexford Dance group, Bernie was a fun loving and popular participant over the past few years. Always seen with a smile, full of fun and happiness. She will be so very sadly missed by all the Clonard dance ladies, the afternoon Tea group, and especially by me, So good natured, loving a laugh.. I enjoyed her fabulous connection with people, her engaging personality and her genuine interest in anybody she met. Being a first cousin living in Sydney I only got to see her intermittently but each time was like a tonic. I loved her terrific Xmas cards and family rundowns. She will be a huge loss to you all and will leave a big void in your lives. I will miss her lively presence in the background of my life 🤍🩷🤍
