Deepest sympathy Sheenagh , Saranna and David on Bob’s passing from this life .

It was with shock and sadness that I read the Foxrock Parish newsletter this Sunday and to see Bob’s death listed on the recently deceased .

I would meet Bob at 11.30am Mass in Foxrock every Sunday usually with one of his lovely Grand daughters .

Bob was a wonderful Ambassador for Doyle Hotel’s and for Ireland .
He was loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him .

Bob was great fun and always in good humour .
Impeccably dressed formal or casual loved his style .

Always a pleasure to meet for a chat and catchup .

Rest easy Bob and may God take your gentle soul to Heaven .

Bad news often travels fast but on this occasion it wasn’t until today I heard the sad news of Bobs passing.

My deepest sympathy to Sheenagh, Saranna and David. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Bobs passing marks the end of an era in Irish tourism - at a time when most sales and marketing in the hospitality sector was conducted on a one on one personal meeting basis, Bob was not alone the consummate professional but also a very effective operator. As so many others have mentioned he really was a great ambassador for Irish Tourism and will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him.

May he rest in peace. Charlie Sinnott

So very sorry to hear of Bob's passing, my deepest condolences to the entire Moony family. Our friendship started in the '60s when we worked together for the Jurys Hotel group and we have remained in contact ever since meeting in Dublin and on occasion in North America. Bob really stood out as the gentleman among our illustrious group of 'culshies'. He was so kind and always so positive - iconic in the very best of ways. To this day he is beloved by his close friends from his Jury days almost 60 years ago. One of a kind who always lived life on his terms. He will be sadly missed by all, may he rest in peace.
