I offer my sincere condolences to the family, De La Salle confreres and friends of Bro. Killian on his recent sad passing. As a past pupil of Bro. Killian's at St. John's DLS College, Ballyfermot, Dublin during the 1990's, I remember him as a gifted and dedicated French teacher who wanted the best for his pupils. Beyond the classroom Bro. Killian's presence was felt throughout Ballyfermot where he
was a familiar figure. He must have walked every street in the area and would always stop for a chat and a joke with pupils and their parents. He was a smiling, kind-hearted gentleman with a good word for everyone he met. May he rest in peace.
— Tom Murphy, Ballyfermot Heritage Group

He was always lovely to meet and on each occasion he always expressed his gratitude that my sisters called to see him when visiting Rome. When teaching in Muinebheag he played with Bro. My sincere condolences to the O'Sullivan family, and to Brother Killian's confreres, students, and colleagues, in his beloved De la Salle community. I met Brother Killian through golf, which was but one of the several activities that consumed his every waking hour. While navigating the 18 holes with him was always enjoyable, it was the time we spent playing the 19th that created so many fond memories! He was simply the best of company. He loved a good story, had a wry wit, as well as his own store of brilliant tales to embellish any conversation. A legend! Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís. Rest in Peace, Brother Killian.
