My heartfelt sympathies go out to the entire Ahern family. Brian was a wonderful person and talented engineer. He was industrious and funny, and it was a joy to work with him. He made many long lasting contributions, so his legacy will live on. It is especially sad that he was due to retire this week, and was not able to enjoy it with you. We were able to have a sendoff for him which we all enjoyed, and we will cherish that memory always.
