It is incredibly difficult to fully express the loss we feel because of Brian’s sudden and untimely death. Brian was a much-loved nephew, cousin, colleague but above all, he was a cherished friend.
He worked alongside Jim for more than 30years. They had a very special bond. Brian would spend hours chatting to Jim and they covered all manner of topics both business related and otherwise. They loved and respected each other dearly.
Brian also worked closely with Ed and I for the last 20 years. Often arriving at the office around lunchtime, He came in for the comradery. We would spend many an afternoon chatting and laughing, all while getting a bit of work done too. Our Brian was so easy going and took everything in his stride. He loved talking and he would always be willing to help others wherever he could. He was charming, hilarious, quick-witted, always good humoured and smiling, enjoying every day.
We will fondly remember him forever as we treasure the special memories and be thankful for all the time we spent together. We will miss him every day.

It was awful to receive the call telling me Brian is dead. I was glad that he and I had been speaking as recently as a few days before he passed and that he seemed in good spirits.

What a wonderful friend. Always there from the ‘70s up to now.. and now always in my heart in the future. Loving, thoughtful, caring and great fun. I can remember him as clearly in Whelans when we last met him, as I do sharing a joke back in school days.
