I got to know Jack in recent years through his involvement with the Meadowvale Residents Association. He was full of ideas and enthusiasm, and we will remember him fondly when all those daffodils he planted bloom after a long, cold winter.

I was a longterm and very happy customer of Jack's. Loved my every visit to the shop. Fun, and gentlemanly friendliness were a guarantee. As was the best of service and clothing. I was sad when Jack retired. I am deeply saddened now that he has passed. Mind yourself Jack.

Our condolences to Suzanne, Jackueline, Richard and the extended Leonard Family. We were both shocked and sad to hear of Jack's sudden passing. I (Carlo) first met Jack in the early sixties when we
started school in The Crescent. In later years Anne and I were customers of Leonard's Menswear. We both have fond memories of our dealings with Jack over the years. He will be missed by us and many others. May he Rest in Peace.

I am very sorry to hear of Brian's passing, a distant cousin. I met him a few years ago when I was in Limerick researching family history. He was a charming and interesting gentleman and acknowledged the common ancestry we shared from the Begley family. My condolences to all the family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

As a young man in the early 80s struggling to start a business in Limerick Jack not only kept me suited and booted but also kept spirits high with his humor and friendship .

In recent years I was visiting limerick and learnt of a closing down sale and called in. Jack was as ever warm and friendly and we had a coffee . He will be missed.
