He was such a gentle man and began each sermon with " I'll tell you a wee story". It would be a short story but contained a message for everyone, whatever your age. Saddened to hear the news of Canon Joe's death. I have pleasant memories of meeting and a night out in Lourdes for many years while he was Director of the Diocesan pilgrimage. My sympathy to his family and all who mourn him. My he rest in peace.

I never knew Joseph but through his family I know that he was a man of great insight who ensured he helped where ever and whenever he could. My thoughts are with his family today.

Condolences to all the family on the passing of Cannon Joseph. A very special man who helped a lot of parishioners and families during his time in Lisnaskea parish. Always saying mass from the heart, always very easy to listen to and made everyone think and reflect.
