Catherine Doyle

In 2019 I nominated Catherine for an award from her employer, The Probation Service in recognition of her as an outstanding colleague, Of course, Catherine was so much more than a brilliant colleague, she was a real friend. Catherine faced her illness with fortitude, constantly thinking of its impact on Alan, James and 'her girls', Such was Catherine's degree of selflessness that she also thought of the impact her her sickness on her friends. Catherine's very sad death has left a huge void in all of our lives. Catherine was the epitome of generosity, kindness and fun. Catherine always had a welcome smile, she was fun leaving an enduring impression.

Catherine Doyle was the most selfless person I have ever met. Catherine didn’t make an instant impression, instead she made a lasting impression with her love, care and compassion. Catherine was a giver of love and hugs. It was a privilege to have worked with her. In her passing an Angel has returned home.
