Catherine (Kitty) Byrne

We (John and I and dog Mollie) lived beside Kitty for a number of years. She often invited me into her kitchen for a chat. She liked to talk about the area where she grew up and loved it with a passion. I learned more of local history from her than from anyone else in the area.

Deepest sympathy to the Dempsey family on the passing of your dear Aunt Kitty she was a wonderful friend to us and a dear neighbour while living in London. We will miss our visits to Doolistown. There will be a special place in heaven for Kitty.

Such lovely memories of Great Aunty Kitty, from when she visited us in Devon when we were kids to visiting her in Trim with my Nanny Rose & having such a lovely time. She was so kind & hospitable & kept making us so much food!
She also knew I loved The Cranberries & she would thoughtfully cut out all the Irish news articles about them from the paper & send them over to me.

Thinking of all who knew & loved her at this sad time.
