I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Cliona was too young to leave the stage. She was a firm FoH manager but a great supporter of so many wonderful productions by Coolmine Musical Society at Draíocht over the years.

I only knew Cliona since 2021 when she interviewed me and gave me my job. In my mind she always had tough, wise, Celtic goddess flame haired energy (which of course I was way too embarrassed to say to her). I only wish I had more time to hear her stories and jokes.
Cliona arrived at my mam's house in January 2022 when my dad passed away from cancer, stocked up with cans of Guinness and "smelly cheese" for us. She gave me a hug even though I knew she didn't "do hugs".
A true beauty and legend.
I am sending back Cliona's love and energy that she showed me, to her family and friends.

Hard to find words, but our hearts go out to Iseult, to Dav and Orna and to Cliona’s family and many friends. Cliona was just one of those people who I was always glad to see: good for a chat and a laugh and an irreverent comment. Our thanks too for all the trips to see shows in Draíocht with the D7ET kids and the annual Christmas snowman concert at the NCH which we will remember fondly. We are so sad to hear this awful news and we extend our deepest sympathies to her family and friends.It is over 30 years since Cliona and I worked together and she had the voice of an angel, her smile could stop you in your tracks.She gave us such a great send off when we moved to San Francisco over 30 years ago.Ben,Fiona and Cliodhna Woods.

Cliona was such a loving, generous and humorous woman. She always lit up a room with her sunshine and bright energy. It was an honour to have her as a boss, everyone who knew her always knew just how special she was. My heart goes out to her friends and family in this hard time.
