Very sorry to hear this. I was at Blackrock with Con. We played on the school chess team. Comfortably the most intelligent person I have ever met. He was kind to me when I got bullied as we weren’t the rugby crowd. A lovely photo and sorry he was taken from you early.

Dear Monica, I was shocked to hear of Con's passing and deeply regret not being able to attend his funeral. I learnt too late. I offer my hearfelt condolences to you and your family. I did not know Con too well at school (he was always in the top classes and I wasn't). However I was delighted to meet Con and you on a Tuatha trip to Clonfert. He also came on a Dublin tour I arranged. I had hoped to meet you both again. Life can be cruel. I am truly sorry for your loss. Memories of Con shine brightly for all fortunate to have known him.

I am very saddened to hear that Con passed away. I was in Blackrock College with Con and lived down the road. We had many great, deep conversations on long walks home when the bus didn't come. He was a very kind and extremely intelligent young man.

I knew Con from Willow Park, Blackrock College and UCD. In the early days he was quite quiet, intelligent and always decent. Stand out memories were playing chasing in Willow and the soul destroying sight of Con coming round a corner with his red tie out(chaser) - no matter how much you could outrun him, you knew you were in for a shift as he was unrelenting in pursuit. He just wouldn't stop.

Then in UCD the quiet man became a big noise on campus as President of the Student's Union. I'll never forget seeing a wild crios wearing bearded revolutionary beat all comers in a yard of ale contest!

Rest in peace, Con.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Cons family on his passing. I went through Willow Park and Blackrock College with him and we even came across each others paths in Ucd. A very nice person .

Very saddened to hear of Con’s passing with sincerest condolences to Monica and his children as well as extended family. I knew Con right through our school days at Willow Park and Blackrock College. He was a gentle and kind fellow who had a very mischievous and quiet sense of humour.
