The news of Conor’s death has just reached me here in Sweden. I shared two wonderful years in his company in Terenure College before he moved to Roscrea. We later met at some reunions. But I have always cherished the time we spent, played and laughed together. Farewell old friend

My sincere condolences to Anya and all the Massey family at this sad time. I got to know Conor through the CCR Past Pupils Union. It was always a pleasure to meet him over the years. There was never a dull moment when Conor was around. He will be missed by so many. RIP Conor.
— Barry O’Shea
Conor’s grandfather was my great grandfather so as a younger cousin I always looked up to him.
He was refined, splendid and always the very best of company.
Women adored Conor and men wanted to be like him. He was elegant, suave and sophisticated and no one could wear a bowler hat with such panache as he did.
The world is a poorer place now that he has gone.
Rest in Peace Conor.
To sleep per chance to dream.
— Patrick Fitzpatrick
Almost three weeks since Conor's passing and there remains a large Conor-shaped hole in my life.

There's hardly a day goes by that I don't think of him.

Mostly this happens when I'm in Booterstown Church amongst whose community where we met circa six years ago.

At that time, Conor extended his considerable hand of friendship, and cloak of protection, when i was probably at my lowest ebb in life.

In a religious sense, being in Conor's company was like being with one of the disciples on the road to Emmaus following the crucifixion of Jesus, dark days were behind us but we believed better days were ahead, as indeed they were.

Conor was the best of us, I'm beyond grateful to have met him along the way and I hope we meet again a bit further on up the road.

My deepest sympathies to Anya and family at this sad time.

May Conor rest in peace.
— Pat Scully
Sincere sympathy Anya and family at this sad and hard time on the passing of connor.

I have very fond memories of time spent over the years with him.
He was indeed a true gentleman with many strings to his bow.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

As I am away I watched his very moving mass which was very befitting of the fine man connor was.

I was really saddened to hear Conor's passing and offer my sincere sympathies to Anya and all the family on the loss of such a true gentleman. Conor will be welcomed among the communion of saints.

After knowing Conor and Anya for many years, Conor's passing came to us like a knockout blow. How could such an incredible person like Conor become absent from our midst? This man understood the heart of Dublin's inner city, which was reflected in the many yarns he had on the tips of his fingers. Not, only this but in contrast, there was his continuous citing of Joyce, Percy Woodhouse, and many others. These were our happiest memories, but on the other hand are sad memories for Anya and her family, to whom we offer our deepest condolence. Now let Conor carry on his mystique as he entertains the blessed in this heaven and is remembered passionately on earth. RIP
— Kevin and Ann Cavey
Condolence to Anya and the extended family on your terrible loss. Conor was a gentleman always courteous and a lovely neighbour. May he rest in peace.
— Mary Reidy Linden Square
From the moment I met Conor 6 years ago at Gatwick I knew I had met someone very special.
His warmth, his caring for me over the following week, his gentle teasing of me over how much I didn’t know about Cricket which I love (being English), his humour, his deep knowledge of literature and of life in general, along with his overarching compassion, sung out to me in volumes.
Conor made such an impression on me and I knew that if I could aspire to even part of what he brought to life, I would be a better person for it.
I am so very sorry to all the family for your loss of such a special, special man, husband, father and grandfather.
May he rest in peace.
— Paul Dex
I was absolutely gutted to miss the funeral of a man I had the pleasure of knowing over a number of years through CCR, where we both went to school and to which Conor contributed hugely through his activity as a fundraiser and President of the PPU. Conor was elegant in every way: his precise speech and use of language, his clothes, his personality. His understated intellectual capacities were plain to anyone who spoke to him over any length of time. He had a lovely mischevious sense of humour, the twinkle in the eye being the one giveaway that you had been roasted by some witty comment! He was fabulous company, very empathetic and always stimulating. I remember receiving a beautiful letter from Conor (what gorgeous handwriting!) when my father Liam and my brother Gerry passed away: those letters are treasured possessions.
Being in France this past week meant that I could not make the funeral and pass on my condolences to Anya and the whole family in person. I cannot imagine the pain you are experiencing at your massive loss. But you have your memories and I am sure they are cherished ones that will sustain you into the future.
Resquiescat in pace, Conor. Your work is done, and it was good work.
— Eamon Maher

Angus,
Dublin has lost a huge slice of charm this week. Samantha's words were beautiful, Anya's poynant singing was incredible and Jeremy's eulogy unforgettable. Didn’t get to meet you Angus in all the crowds regrettably. The last time we were in Booterstown Church together, we were Altar boys!
God rest your wonderful Dad

Dear Anya,
Our sincere condolences to you and the whole Massey family with the passing away of Conor. When we heard the news on Monday evening, we were very saddened by it. And immediately a lot of memories came to our mind. Without any doubt Conor was within the NSM/SIFH European Group the most colourful personality we ever met. He was witty, full of humor, artistic, very hospitable, and completely honest, you could trust him without reservation.
Despite the fact that we lost contact after his leaving the company, we can say, also on behave of our daughter Martine en son-in-law Menno, that we will miss him deeply.
We wish you all the strenght you need the coming time.
