Sincere condolences to Lorraine, Sean and the entire Kavanagh family on the passing of Des. We had great days playing in An Caisleán and St James Gaels. Des was also mentor to my underage team. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Always helped the staff out in the job and always made himself available if we needed to use his "fun bus" for staff outings and my own personal family functions. Des was a great hurler and footballer , was part of the backbone of the team when we went Senior. Des was an absolute gentleman and was highly thought of by all that knew him in the club and Gaa.
