To Maureen and Family,

so sorry to hear of Des's passing. He was such a great character, and all our family have lots of fun memories of him. He was often in our house in Kilmacud with Padraic and there would be re-telling of canvassing stories or the more interesting FF meetings over a cuppa tea or maybe something stronger. Never mind the silly jokes he would have for me and Paul McCormack's kids.

To Maureen, John and Patricia, my sympathies to you and your families on Des's passing. My memories of Des stretch back to my childhood and the evenings he would sit around our kitchen table with Dad, John Pollock, Neil Andrews and Padraig O'Sullivan discussing politics. Rest in peace
