It came as a great surprise to me earlier this week to hear of Diarmuid’s death.
He and I were colleagues in Irish Rail, North Wall, for a number of years. We also worked together on a short CIE Consult assignment in Eastern Europe.
Diarmuid was a real gentleman, always in good humour and easy to get along with.
I offer my very deepest sympathy to his wife and family on their enormous loss.
