My condolences to Diarmuid's family and those who loved him. I first met him in Co Cork on an Irish Georgian Society jaunt, where's his sparkling conversation and conviviality were delightful company and a revelation to my American friend as we discussed, argued and raised glasses. Subsequent meetings around Dublin, sometimes with his several rescued dogs, at the Arts Club or at IGS were always memorable. Diarmuid was exceptional, May he now rest in peace.
