Donie KERIN

It was with great sadness I learned of the death of Donie (TOAO).
We worked together in ABN Amro from 1986 until mid 2000's. He was a legend in the Foreign Exchange markets and anybody who met him would never forget him. He loved his sports, was a proud Offaly man and never forgot his roots.
Every year he filled in as Santa at the ABN Amro kids Christmas parties and the children would come out from their visit, talking about how they had met "the real Santa" for weeks afterwards.
He was one of a kind, the world will be a poorer place without him.
To Margaret, Julie and Andrew, we pass on our condolences.

Joined abn and Donie was just the best crack but living in rathfarnham he just seemed to be everywhere, gaa, newlands an always donating his time for charity an tryn to get us to do the same and always the best fun and slaggin in ballyboden holding up the bar !! I am so sad to learn of Donie's passing. I met him as recently as early July at Mount Carmel and many times in the past, when we shared many a game of golf at Newlands. He was great company and always a proud Offaly man. My deepest sympathies to Margaret and all his family.
