My deepest sympathy on the passing of your father. You don't know me, but my connection with your Dad and Mom go way back to The Pas, Manitoba where I believe both Fenton and Susan you were born. I have a close connection with your parents as they stood up and gave my wife away when we were married in 1971. My wife (passed in 2011) was 1 of 7 Filipinos that came to The Pas in late 60's. Her parents couldn't come so your Parents stood up for her.

We are so sorry to hear about your dad's death. Uncle Martin was such a fun loving, large personality who always had a smile on his face and something amusing to say. He made our times together full of energy when we visited Tramore or he visited us in England.

Your father was the most fun, kind and encouraging person you could wish to have as a Uncle and was a huge part of our summer holidays many moons ago. Martin will be greatly missed but not forgotten by those whose lives he touched including my father.

So sad to hear of the passing of Martin. He was a little part of my own life, which is diminished knowing I'll never meet him again on Cliff Road with the dogs, or over the wall at the back of our garden.
Martin was always cheery and, reading through other condolences here, it's clear he was part of the lives of so many of his other neighbours too.
