I was a classmate of Ray’s in UCG from 1968-1974.
Ray was a very genuine person who always had a friendly word and was hugely popular in our medical class.
When I joined the queue to sign up for Medicine,Ray was beside me in the queue and we had a great conversation as we waited our turn. So he was the very first person that I met in our class and I was happy to have met and known Ray.

To Nuala and Family - our UCG Med class of 1974 was greatly saddened to hear of Ray's passing. it is wonderful to see the hundreds of messages on this site - amply demonstrating how this wonderful kind and caring man was loved and appreciated by his community. I am proud to have studied and socialized with him in UCG 50 years ago. We are so sad not to see him at our upcoming 50th graduation reunion in 2024 singing his Sant Lucia - but he will in spirit be with us there.
