I met Edaoina when we started in Better Start 2014 and she has left a lasting impression on my life. She arrived to the Sligo office in 2016 when she made the wise decision to escape west to the sun sea and sand and never looked back. Her positive outlook and kind nature meant so much to me. She always reached out to me even with so much going on in her own world, asking for stories about the animals on our little farm. I loved sharing them because she laughs so heartily at the stories. I worked closely with Edaoina sharing topics and mentoring conversations that I was having and she always helped me find clarity when I needed it. She has a wealth of knowledge and a strong love and passion for children that came through every conversation she had. She had a great way of linking her principles to how she approached many things, not least the importance of having sweets to hand at every opportunity. I know I am not the only person left with the impression that Edaoina fostered friendships and connections where ever she went and I am truly grateful to her for always sharing her time with me. I will plant sunflowers every year to have you near and the bees will be happy too. I will miss you x My sincere sympathies to Paula, Declan, Phil and Fiona. She spoke so fondly of you all. You are all in my thoughts and the days weeks and months ahead.
