Sincere condolences to Mary, Tommy, Margaret and the extended McCartin and Cassidy families on the sad passing of Eddie.
Eddie's contribution to all facets of community life in the parish over many decades was immeasurable, He worked quietly, diligently, and tirelessly to make Gortletteragh a better place to live for everyone. A prime and lasting example of his contribution to society was the expertise he deployed in the upgrade and maintenance of Farnaught and Gortletteragh cemeteries. Eddie was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He will be sadly missed, but his legacy will remain.
Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
— Farnaught/Gortletteragh Cemeteries Committee
Sincere sympathy to Mary, Tommy and Margaret on the death of Eddie.
With an extraordinary vision, matched by an unwavering dedication to every task, Eddie made a positive impact on all aspects of life in Gortletteragh; sporting, cultural and pastoral, making the parish a better place for young and old alike. His warm personality and droll sense of humour endeared him to everyone.
Our family has lost a great neighbour and a loyal friend who will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
After a long life so well lived, may Eddie now rest in peace.
— Mary Heslin & family, Drumgownagh
