Much saddened to hear of Eric's sudden passing, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. I have many fond memories of your father when I was young and spending time watching him work on his numerous DIY projects. Our heartfelt condolences to the Doody family on the sad loss of your dear father. We were greatly saddened at the news of Alberic's sudden passing. He was one of the kindest and most interesting men anyone could ever wish to meet. Alberic always had time for a chat and had a robust opinion on every possible subject under the sun. He was both engaging and funny and was a man who thought outside the box, and we dearly loved him for it. He always made myself and Dee laugh, and we will very much miss that laugh of his, and the many wonderful times we had together. A kind soul with a huge heart, may he rest in eternal peace.

Eric Doody came into my life a lifetime ago, when I was a budding design student venturing to the north side for lunches and dinners with the Doody clan.

Eric was always willing to share his wisdom on all things design. A man with a joy for life, work, family, and friends. We loved Eric dearly, he had a one of a kind personality, and wasn’t shy in sharing knowledge and opinions galore!

We feel privileged to be part of the Doody family, and indeed family gatherings will not be the same without Pop Doody but the memories and his ever supportive words will be cherished as we raise a glass to toast his name.

My deepest sympathy to Phyllis and all of the Doody family. Eric was my first manager and my introduction to aviation. He was most generous with his knowledge and insight and gave me a wonderful start in the industry. He was kind, thoughtful, enthusiastic and good-humoured. I was very lucky to have worked with him and learned so much from him.
