Eugene (Gene) Byrne

I would like to express my sincere condolences on Gene’s very sad passing to wife Anne, to David, Claire and Elaine, his sister Margaret, brother-in-law Brian, son-in-law Niall, nephews Shane, Liam and Conor, extended family, neighbours, and his many friends.
Having known him in Tara Mines for over 30 years, he was one of the finest people anyone could ever meet in their lifetime. About 30 years ago he came across me underground after I had a very serious accident and brought me to receive medical attention and standing at his funeral in Killanny graveyard I remembered his words to me on that night, are you all right lad. A lovely person taken much too soon.
