I was saddened to hear of Barry's passing.
He was a gentle quiet man who kept to himself.
My deepest condolences to Barry's family and loved ones.
May He rest in peace
— Edith Compton, Barry's neighbour
I was so sorry to hear of Barry's passing.
He was a quiet, introverted, humble gentle man and a lovely kind neighbour to know. He was highly educated and very intelligent and was an encyclopedia on subjects such as history and science.
Many years ago, he would send a postcard to myself & my recently deceased Mother from his travels to Germany, Austria, France etc.
In the last few years of his life he would come in to us for a cup of tea, a chat and a laugh, and how i loved making Barry laugh. He often asked me to help him with something in his house and, if i could do it, i would.
He was never rude. Just a lovely man who i'll miss as a good neighbour.
My deepest condolences to ALL of Barry's relatives and loved ones.
May He rest in peace
